The CDL file extension refers to the CADKEY Wireframe Design File. This type of file is used with CADKEY, a computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) program created by Cadkey Corporation which is now incorporated into R4 Software, Inc.
CDL files are designed with a wireframe modeling structure, which is used in 3D applications that employs only lines not surfaces and meshes in order to depict features like polylines, curves and circles.
