What is IV file?

The IV file extension is associated with the open source 3D platform Open Inventor, developed by Silicon Graphics Inc.(SGI). Open Inventor is a toolkit and API for creating 3D graphics applications. The IV file stores a scene graph, which is a data structure describing the 3D objects in an application as well as their transformations. How to convert the file from IGES to IV?

To successfully convert the IGES file to IV, you should install one of the applications from the list. After installing the software, open the program and select the file you want to convert (file-name.IGES). The next step is to select the target format from the list, in this case IV (usually converters allow you to convert to several different formats, so check out their features - maybe one of the available formats will suit you more than IV).

What is a file conversion?
