PCC is an *.pcc file extension used by Mass Effect, a science fiction action role-playing third-person shooter video game series developed by the Canadian company BioWare, and released for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Microsoft Windows. PCC files are package files, gaming resources containing data such as textures, models, scripts, audio, and dialogue.
PCC files are binary data with contents compressed into a single archive file. This permits the game data to be easier to transfer and modify than if it were distributed as complex collections of files. Furthermore, by compressing the data into an archive, large amounts of data can be more quickly downloaded.
