What is WRL file?
The .WRL file extension is associated with the Virtual Reality Modeling Language (VRML). This is a computer language used to create 3D interactive worlds on the web. It is a text-based format used to define objects in a virtual world, including shapes, textures, and sizes, as well as interactivity and scripted behaviors. The WRL file is intended to be used in conjunction with web browsers, allowing users to view or interact with virtual 3D spaces through their web browsers. [ ⏩ ] WRL file extension
What is JT file?
The .JT file extension is most commonly associated with the JT Open CAD software, a lightweight 3D modeling program developed by Siemens. This file format is an open source, neutral data format used to store and exchange 3D product models. JT Open CAD files are comprised of three-dimensional models with user attributes, detailed product geometry, and image data. JT Open CAD files are also used to represent product hierarchies and visual configurations. [ ⏩ ] JT file extension
How to convert the file from WRL to JT?
To successfully convert the WRL file to JT, you should install one of the applications from the list. After installing the software, open the program and select the file you want to convert (file-name.WRL). The next step is to select the target format from the list, in this case JT (usually converters allow you to convert to several different formats, so check out their features - maybe one of the available formats will suit you more than JT).
What is a file conversion?
A data conversion is normally an automated process to some extent. The effect of the operation of one program is automatically the input product of another application. If that does not happen we need to help the process a little bit and convert the file on our own, e.g. WRL to JT. To obtain a matched structure of the data, it is necessary to use an appropriate converter.
Program for converting WRL files to JT files is a kind of a "binary code translator" compensating for the differences in the code or translating it in such a way so that another application could use it. For us, as users, the visible change will be only another file extension. (After converting the file, it will be the extension JT, while before this step we had the WRL file). For the programs, the difference is on a much higher level – either the application will be able to open a new JT file, or not.
