What is PCD file?

The Kodak Photo CD Image File (.PCD) is a proprietary image-compression format commonly used to store photographs in a digital format. PCDs are primarily used with Pro Photo CD disks supplied by Kodak; these disks can store up to 100 hi-res photographs per disk. The PCD file format is interoperable with the JPEG and TIFF image formats, and files can easily be converted between the three formats using Adobe Photoshop and other image processing software. How to convert the file from PCG to PCD?

To successfully convert the PCG file to PCD, you should install one of the applications from the list. After installing the software, open the program and select the file you want to convert (file-name.PCG). The next step is to select the target format from the list, in this case PCD (usually converters allow you to convert to several different formats, so check out their features - maybe one of the available formats will suit you more than PCD).

What is a file conversion?
