What is BLEND file?
The .BLEND file format is used to store three-dimensional graphic data in the form of a virtual environment with modeling, animating, rendering, and other advanced features present in Blender 3D software from Blender Foundation. A .BLEND file contains 3D objects, textures, lighting settings, animations, particles and other scene data as well as metadata for the model. The data is stored in various different encoded chunks that have interrelationships and are then saved into a single file. [ ⏩ ] BLEND file extension
What is C3D file?
The C3D file extension has been associated with 3D Coordinate Geometry files used to design and create objects in a 3D space. It is usually created with the Maya 3D graphics software package or the AutoCAD design software. A C3D file uses a set of coordinates to define the object in steps or facets along with a series of guide curves. Each step quite literally adds a layer to the object until has been fully realized. How to convert the file from BLEND to C3D?
To successfully convert the BLEND file to C3D, you should install one of the applications from the list. After installing the software, open the program and select the file you want to convert (file-name.BLEND). The next step is to select the target format from the list, in this case C3D (usually converters allow you to convert to several different formats, so check out their features - maybe one of the available formats will suit you more than C3D).
What is a file conversion?
A data conversion is normally an automated process to some extent. The effect of the operation of one program is automatically the input product of another application. If that does not happen we need to help the process a little bit and convert the file on our own, e.g. BLEND to C3D. To obtain a matched structure of the data, it is necessary to use an appropriate converter.
Program for converting BLEND files to C3D files is a kind of a "binary code translator" compensating for the differences in the code or translating it in such a way so that another application could use it. For us, as users, the visible change will be only another file extension. (After converting the file, it will be the extension C3D, while before this step we had the BLEND file). For the programs, the difference is on a much higher level – either the application will be able to open a new C3D file, or not.
