What is BLEND file?
The .BLEND file format is used to store three-dimensional graphic data in the form of a virtual environment with modeling, animating, rendering, and other advanced features present in Blender 3D software from Blender Foundation. A .BLEND file contains 3D objects, textures, lighting settings, animations, particles and other scene data as well as metadata for the model. The data is stored in various different encoded chunks that have interrelationships and are then saved into a single file. [ ⏩ ] BLEND file extension
What is BVH file?
The BVH (Biovision Hierarchy .BVH) file extension is a digital character animation file format developed by Biovision, Inc. for motion capturing data saved in the Biological Motion Hierarchy format. BVH was initially used by Life Forms software for motion-capturing data generated by Kinect and other motion capture hardware. The hierarchical structure of the BVH files allows the user to visualize and modify extracted motion capture data. [ ⏩ ] BVH file extension
How to convert the file from BLEND to BVH?
To successfully convert the BLEND file to BVH, you should install one of the applications from the list. After installing the software, open the program and select the file you want to convert (file-name.BLEND). The next step is to select the target format from the list, in this case BVH (usually converters allow you to convert to several different formats, so check out their features - maybe one of the available formats will suit you more than BVH).
What is a file conversion?
A data conversion is normally an automated process to some extent. The effect of the operation of one program is automatically the input product of another application. If that does not happen we need to help the process a little bit and convert the file on our own, e.g. BLEND to BVH. To obtain a matched structure of the data, it is necessary to use an appropriate converter.
Program for converting BLEND files to BVH files is a kind of a "binary code translator" compensating for the differences in the code or translating it in such a way so that another application could use it. For us, as users, the visible change will be only another file extension. (After converting the file, it will be the extension BVH, while before this step we had the BLEND file). For the programs, the difference is on a much higher level – either the application will be able to open a new BVH file, or not.
