The WRP file extension identifies a .wrp file generated by Geomagic. WRP stands for “wrap” and is used to store, share and transfer 3D designs such as scan data and engineering changes. WRP files provide a secure, efficient way to store, share and transfer 3D design data because they are compressed, encrypted, and digitally signed.

WRP files are based upon the same 3D design relationships as the native CAD application. For example, for Autodesk Inventor, relationships contained in an IPT file are stored within the WRP file.
