The PRJ file extension, also known as Project File, is used as a project file type for various Autodesk applications like AutoCAD or 3ds Max. It stores scene information, references to other files used in a project, properties of the elements in a project, and other relevant user-defined data. This allows users to store multiple facets of a project within a single file for easier storage and portability.
