OFF ( .OFF) is a binary file format developed by Paracel Inc. It is used for storing point cloud data and mesh structures. The file extension can be encountered in various CAD, modeling and editing software.
Structure Of OFF File Format
The structure of the OFF files is based on the geometry primitive known as "facets". A facet consists of "vertices" which are nodes connected by "edges" (lines). It is possible to store color, texture data, normals, and other attributes inside the file. The data is stored in ASCII format which makes it easy to read and write.
