The file extension .MHTML stands for MIME HTML (Multi-purpose Internet Mail Extension HTML) and is used for webpages that are stored as a single file. The file type commonly referred to as an “mhtml” or “mht” file, is a web page archive format which is used to combine resources (such as HTML, images, CSS, audio and video) into a single file. This way the files are sent together in one document and can still be viewed and interacted with like normal webpages.
