LIS (SQR Output File) is a text-based output file used by PeopleSoft's SQR computer language module specifically designed for creating data output reports. As part of the PeopleSoft, SQR uses the LIS file extension for its data output reports.
The LIS files can be composed of either a sequential or time form, and may contain records from a single table or multiple related tables. Records are organized into lines where each line represents one field within the table. This makes it easier to read and interpret the data in the report, such as in writing a SQL query.
