The FDC file is a data file used by Autodesk's AutoCAD software. This file type contains a field catalog, which stores field codes, caps and classifications for autodetection and symbolization of a particular feature in a map or drawing.
A field catalog file has a.fdc filename extension and generally supports four types of commands; autodetect, classification, cap and code.
