The DLX file extension is used to denote Sony Video Display Unit (VDU) film format files. These are files that contain image bitmaps and other graphical info, stored in specialized DLX format. DLX files are used for recording, integrating and playing back digitally produced motion pictures.
Technical Details
The DLX file format was developed by Sony and it is usually associated with their popular Video Display Units (VDUs). When opened, the bitmap frames of the film get stream-loaded into system memory.
