The .AFM file is an Adobe Font Metrics file. It is a text file with a plain text encoding and information pertaining to the typeface that is used for a particular font range. The AFM file is primarily used by Adobe products such as PageMaker, InDesign, and Illustrator, although it can also be imported into other vector graphic editors.
