What is WVE file?
WVE is a .WVE file used to store DivX-encoded movies. A WVE file contains encoded video streams in the DivX format and encodes digital video streams at lower bitrates than traditional DVD media, making it easier to stream or download movies over a network. In addition to compression, WVE files also contain other encoding features such as additional video layers (or segment information) which can be adjusted as desired. [ ⏩ ] WVE file extension
What is WMV file?
WMV (Windows Media Video File) is a .wmv digital video file that stores audio and video using Microsoft’s Windows Media Video (WMV) container. WMV files use video compression to reduce the size of the file, while maintaining quality. It is used for delivery of streaming video over the Internet, such as in web pages. It can also be used for backup and archiving of home videos in an efficient manner. [ ⏩ ] WMV file extension

How to convert the file from WVE to WMV?
To successfully convert the WVE file to WMV, you should install one of the applications from the list. After installing the software, open the program and select the file you want to convert (file-name.WVE). The next step is to select the target format from the list, in this case WMV (usually converters allow you to convert to several different formats, so check out their features - maybe one of the available formats will suit you more than WMV).
What is a file conversion?
A data conversion is normally an automated process to some extent. The effect of the operation of one program is automatically the input product of another application. If that does not happen we need to help the process a little bit and convert the file on our own, e.g. WVE to WMV. To obtain a matched structure of the data, it is necessary to use an appropriate converter.
Program for converting WVE files to WMV files is a kind of a "binary code translator" compensating for the differences in the code or translating it in such a way so that another application could use it. For us, as users, the visible change will be only another file extension. (After converting the file, it will be the extension WMV, while before this step we had the WVE file). For the programs, the difference is on a much higher level – either the application will be able to open a new WMV file, or not.
