What is MIF file?

A MIF (MapInfo Interchange Format) file is a text-based data file containing spatial geographic information used to create vector-oriented maps. This type of file is produced by the MapInfo Professional program, and it contains one to many linked files that include column headers, attributes, and coordinate pairs for every set of geographic objects. How to convert the file from TIF to MIF?

To successfully convert the TIF file to MIF, you should install one of the applications from the list. After installing the software, open the program and select the file you want to convert (file-name.TIF). The next step is to select the target format from the list, in this case MIF (usually converters allow you to convert to several different formats, so check out their features - maybe one of the available formats will suit you more than MIF).
