What is SXD file?
The SXD (StarOffice Drawing) file extension is used in the StarOffice application to store drawings created and saved by the StarOffice application. This file format is one of the oldest vector file formats, and is still being used today for creating graphics, logos, drawings, and complex diagrams. The SXD format is unique to the StarOffice suite of applications, and is not compatible with other applications for editing vector drawings. [ ⏩ ] SXD file extension
What is SDA file?
The SDA file extension is used by various software applications for the purpose of saving an image or graphic as a drawing in vector format. The most popular use of this particular file format is with StarOffice Draw, a standalone vector graphics editor program that is part of the broader productivity suite StarOffice. Files saved in this format are sometimes referred to as drawing templates. [ ⏩ ] SDA file extension

How to convert the file from SXD to SDA?
To successfully convert the SXD file to SDA, you should install one of the applications from the list. After installing the software, open the program and select the file you want to convert (file-name.SXD). The next step is to select the target format from the list, in this case SDA (usually converters allow you to convert to several different formats, so check out their features - maybe one of the available formats will suit you more than SDA).
What is a file conversion?
A data conversion is normally an automated process to some extent. The effect of the operation of one program is automatically the input product of another application. If that does not happen we need to help the process a little bit and convert the file on our own, e.g. SXD to SDA. To obtain a matched structure of the data, it is necessary to use an appropriate converter.
Program for converting SXD files to SDA files is a kind of a "binary code translator" compensating for the differences in the code or translating it in such a way so that another application could use it. For us, as users, the visible change will be only another file extension. (After converting the file, it will be the extension SDA, while before this step we had the SXD file). For the programs, the difference is on a much higher level – either the application will be able to open a new SDA file, or not.
