What is X_B file?

The X_B file extension is a 3D CAD modeller part format, commonly used by Parasolid software. This file format is used to store data and changes related to the 3D models that have been designed and constructed using Parasolid CAD modelling tools. The X_B file format is based on and follows the currently accepted industry standards for universal 3D data exchange, such as the STEP-AP 203 Standard, as well as those used by the modelling packages from Siemens PLM Software. How to convert the file from STEP to X_B?

To successfully convert the STEP file to X_B, you should install one of the applications from the list. After installing the software, open the program and select the file you want to convert (file-name.STEP). The next step is to select the target format from the list, in this case X_B (usually converters allow you to convert to several different formats, so check out their features - maybe one of the available formats will suit you more than X_B).

What is a file conversion?

A data conversion is normally an automated process to some extent. The effect of the operation of one program is automatically the input product of another application. If that does not happen we need to help the process a little bit and convert the file on our own, e.g. STEP to X_B. To obtain a matched structure of the data, it is necessary to use an appropriate converter.
