What is PSD file?
The .psd file type is a graphics file format used by Adobe Photoshop, the most popular digital imaging software. It is also used with some other applications such as Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Premiere Pro. .psd files are usually created by users to store their graphic design elements, such as images, logos, text, vectors, 3D objects, etc., and then can be shared with other programs. The name “PSD” stands for “Photoshop Document”.Adobe Photoshop Document – PSD Features . [ ⏩ ] PSD file extension
What is ACO file?
The ACO file extension stands for Adobe Photoshop Color Swatch File. It is a proprietary format created by Adobe which contains color swatches for use in other creative applications such as the Adobe Creative Suite family and their corresponding editor programs like Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign. ACO files save both individual colors and collections of colors. These collections can contain multiple color sets, like CMYK, RGB, or Pantone values. [ ⏩ ] ACO file extension
How to convert the file from PSD to ACO?
To successfully convert the PSD file to ACO, you should install one of the applications from the list. After installing the software, open the program and select the file you want to convert (file-name.PSD). The next step is to select the target format from the list, in this case ACO (usually converters allow you to convert to several different formats, so check out their features - maybe one of the available formats will suit you more than ACO).
What is a file conversion?
A data conversion is normally an automated process to some extent. The effect of the operation of one program is automatically the input product of another application. If that does not happen we need to help the process a little bit and convert the file on our own, e.g. PSD to ACO. To obtain a matched structure of the data, it is necessary to use an appropriate converter.
Program for converting PSD files to ACO files is a kind of a "binary code translator" compensating for the differences in the code or translating it in such a way so that another application could use it. For us, as users, the visible change will be only another file extension. (After converting the file, it will be the extension ACO, while before this step we had the PSD file). For the programs, the difference is on a much higher level – either the application will be able to open a new ACO file, or not.
