What is ONE file?
The ONE file type is a unique file format created by Microsoft for its office productivity suite, Microsoft Office. Specifically, the ONE document files are used for the program Microsoft OneNote, an application of its Office suite applications that is used to create digital notebooks for taking notes or gathering information. The notes are then organized in notebooks which are then compiled to generate the ONE file. [ ⏩ ] ONE file extension
What is MHT file?
MHT (.mht) web archive files are a type of file used to store web page content in Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) format. The files are often produced by Microsoft Internet Explorer as an alternative to saving the page as a set of interlinked HTML, JavaScript, and Cascading Style Sheet (CSS) documents. Browsers such as Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome also have the capacity to save webpages as MHT web archives. [ ⏩ ] MHT file extension
How to convert the file from ONE to MHT?
To successfully convert the ONE file to MHT, you should install one of the applications from the list. After installing the software, open the program and select the file you want to convert (file-name.ONE). The next step is to select the target format from the list, in this case MHT (usually converters allow you to convert to several different formats, so check out their features - maybe one of the available formats will suit you more than MHT).
What is a file conversion?
A data conversion is normally an automated process to some extent. The effect of the operation of one program is automatically the input product of another application. If that does not happen we need to help the process a little bit and convert the file on our own, e.g. ONE to MHT. To obtain a matched structure of the data, it is necessary to use an appropriate converter.
Program for converting ONE files to MHT files is a kind of a "binary code translator" compensating for the differences in the code or translating it in such a way so that another application could use it. For us, as users, the visible change will be only another file extension. (After converting the file, it will be the extension MHT, while before this step we had the ONE file). For the programs, the difference is on a much higher level – either the application will be able to open a new MHT file, or not.
