What is IPJ file?
The IPJ (Inventor Project File) file extension is a binary file used by the Autodesk Inventor software to store 3D projects. Autodesk Inventor is a suite of 3D mechanical engineering and design software solutions used for product simulation, visualization as well as system design validation. The IPJ file type is version-specific and supports data persistence, reuse of existing designs, reuse of engineering materials as well as interoperability between programs. [ ⏩ ] IPJ file extension
What is DWF file?
The DWF (Design Web Format File)DWF file extension is commonly used to store CAD (Computer-Aided Design) renderings, and contain two- and three-dimensional data objects in a compressed format. As an open-standard web format developed by Autodesk Inc.Autodesk, DWF allows users to easily collaborate on draft designs, distribute data over the web, and export designs between different digital drawing applications. How to convert the file from IPJ to DWF?
To successfully convert the IPJ file to DWF, you should install one of the applications from the list. After installing the software, open the program and select the file you want to convert (file-name.IPJ). The next step is to select the target format from the list, in this case DWF (usually converters allow you to convert to several different formats, so check out their features - maybe one of the available formats will suit you more than DWF).
What is a file conversion?
A data conversion is normally an automated process to some extent. The effect of the operation of one program is automatically the input product of another application. If that does not happen we need to help the process a little bit and convert the file on our own, e.g. IPJ to DWF. To obtain a matched structure of the data, it is necessary to use an appropriate converter.
Program for converting IPJ files to DWF files is a kind of a "binary code translator" compensating for the differences in the code or translating it in such a way so that another application could use it. For us, as users, the visible change will be only another file extension. (After converting the file, it will be the extension DWF, while before this step we had the IPJ file). For the programs, the difference is on a much higher level – either the application will be able to open a new DWF file, or not.
