The .icns icon resource file is used by Apple Mac OS X, starting with version 10.3. It is used to store a set of small and large icons used for programs, documents, or other files. An icon resource file will generally consist of a series of images stored separately in thecorrect sizes – 16x16px up to 512x512px, in colour depths of 1-bit up to 32-bit. How to convert the file from EXR to ICNS?

To successfully convert the EXR file to ICNS, you should install one of the applications from the list. After installing the software, open the program and select the file you want to convert (file-name.EXR). The next step is to select the target format from the list, in this case ICNS (usually converters allow you to convert to several different formats, so check out their features - maybe one of the available formats will suit you more than ICNS).
