What is JP2 file?

The JP2 (JPEG 2000 Core Image File) is a file format developed by the Joint Photographic Experts Group for use in digital photography applications. It is also known as JPEG 2000 Part 1, and is different from the JPG image file format. JPEG 2000 is a significant improvement over traditional JPEG, featuring improved compression Levels, bit-depth level support, and color spaces. How to convert the file from ECW to JP2?

To successfully convert the ECW file to JP2, you should install one of the applications from the list. After installing the software, open the program and select the file you want to convert (file-name.ECW). The next step is to select the target format from the list, in this case JP2 (usually converters allow you to convert to several different formats, so check out their features - maybe one of the available formats will suit you more than JP2).

What is a file conversion?

A data conversion is normally an automated process to some extent. The effect of the operation of one program is automatically the input product of another application.
