The ZVR (SAFA Media Audio File) is a digital audio file format that utilizes a Zymmetrical Variable Rate encoding system. This novel technique was invented by the SAFA Media Company and allows for the precise encoding and playback of audio files without quality degradation or the need for additional system memory requirements.
The ZVR format is built using a unique royalty-free compression technology known as Zymmetrical Variable Rate (ZVR). It is based on psychoacoustic principles and works by cutting out frequencies that are indistinguishable to the human auditory system. This is accomplished by using a two-channel algorithm which analyzes the left and right stereo channels separately. After the data is compressed, it can be played back through any audio-capable media player, such as Microsoft Windows Media Player, Windows Player Pro, Winamp, or VLC.
Similiar Extensions
In addition to the ZVR format, there are several other audio formats that share similar qualities. These include MP3, Ogg, WMA, and FLAC.
ZVR Features
SAFA Media's ZVR compression technology provides several advantages over traditional audio formats. It is capable of producing up to 32 kHz sample rates, which provide significantly better sound quality than most other compressed audio file formats. Additionally, files in this format are much more compact, allowing for greater storage efficiency. Finally, the overall bitrate complexity can be adjusted through the use of a pseudo-random noise generator, allowing for even greater levels of compression efficiency.
Software Support
ZVR files can be created and edited in programs like AudeCap, Cool Edit Pro, and Sony Sound Forge. Additionally, they can be converted into other popular formats using programs such as Format Factory, Free Audio Converter, and Switch Audio Converter.
Programs for WINDOWS system
After installing the required software, the operating system will usually automatically associate an unknown file type (in this case .ZVR) with the new application. If this does not happen, we can help the system a bit by selecting the software for it, which it should always use to open files with the .ZVR extension.
When choosing the software we can select the system to use this software every time.
Remember!
Using it for the first time it is good to check whether the .ZVR file opened in the application can be read by us and opens in a way that allows us to use it. If everything is in order, select this option the next time you open a file with the .ZVR extension. However, if the file has not opened correctly, we have to look for a different software, with which we can open files with the .ZVR extension. Select a different software from our list and install it on your computer. After the software is installed, repeat inspection openings of a .ZVR file. Sometimes you have to repeat the operation several times.
Other instructions
If none of the programs listed by us to work with the .ZVR file has not meet your expectations, you can try searching other websites. But remember to avoid downloading programs "that can open any file". These applications not only have very limited functionality, but may also expose you to expense tens of dollars when purchasing a license.
In the vast majority of cases you will find the program dedicated to support the .ZVR file, or any other file format. In addition, there is a chance that it will be a free program, and its functionality (concerning the .ZVR file) will be extended to the maximum.
It is also good to check
- if the .ZVR file has no errors
- or if it has been copied (or downloaded by the browser) thoroughly
