The XFD file extension is an Autodesk AutoCAD Drawing File that is used by AutoCAD, a popular Computer Aided Design (CAD) software created by Autodesk. XFD stands for Extended Drawing File and is very versatile as it holds information related to complex drawings, 3D model data, as well as 3D scenes created in AutoCAD. The XFD file format was introduced with the launch of AutoCAD 2020 and is now the default file format for the CAD software.
