UHARC Compressed Archive | UHarc | Compressed Files |
The UHA file extension stands for UHarc Compressed Archive. It is a powerful but lightweight archive format created by Uwe Hermann. UHarc archives use the LZMA (Lempel-Ziv-Markov chain Algorithm) compression method to create files that are highly compressed while being compatible across all versions of Windows.
UHA archives are typically used to store large data sets in a small amount of space and transfer large files quickly. Their low system memory consumption allows them to be utilized in systems with limited resources or network bandwidth. They can also be used to store faster hard drive access times, as well as increased transfer speeds when sending large volumes of data.
Compatibility and Features
UHA archives are compatible many versions of Windows, including Windows 98, 2000, XP, Vista, 7 and 8. However, other Operating Systems (OS) such as Linux and Mac OS X may not have native support for the UHA format. There are specialized archiving programs which are capable of extracting and creating UHarc archives, such as 7-Zip, WinRAR, PeaZip, etc.
These archives feature a strong encryption option using a 448-bit Blowfish algorithm - providing very secure file protection. Other features include support for dual compression modes (lossless and lossy), high compression ratio and multi-core compression support. This makes it fast and efficient for anyone wishing to compress their files.
Other file extensions that are similar to the UHA format include .7z, .rar, .zip, .arj, and more.
Programs for WINDOWS system
After installing the required software, the operating system will usually automatically associate an unknown file type (in this case .UHA) with the new application. If this does not happen, we can help the system a bit by selecting the software for it, which it should always use to open files with the .UHA extension.
When choosing the software we can select the system to use this software every time.
Remember!
Using it for the first time it is good to check whether the .UHA file opened in the application can be read by us and opens in a way that allows us to use it. If everything is in order, select this option the next time you open a file with the .UHA extension. However, if the file has not opened correctly, we have to look for a different software, with which we can open files with the .UHA extension. Select a different software from our list and install it on your computer. After the software is installed, repeat inspection openings of a .UHA file. Sometimes you have to repeat the operation several times.
Other instructions
If none of the programs listed by us to work with the .UHA file has not meet your expectations, you can try searching other websites. But remember to avoid downloading programs "that can open any file". These applications not only have very limited functionality, but may also expose you to expense tens of dollars when purchasing a license.
In the vast majority of cases you will find the program dedicated to support the .UHA file, or any other file format. In addition, there is a chance that it will be a free program, and its functionality (concerning the .UHA file) will be extended to the maximum.
It is also good to check
- if the .UHA file has no errors
- or if it has been copied (or downloaded by the browser) thoroughly
