ArchiCAD is a comprehensive software package for creating 3D models, visuals and interactive streaming media presentations of a project. It is used widely in the AEC (Architecture, Engineering and Construction) industries. The PLN file format is used as the native file archiving format by the ArchiCAD software. It was introduced in 1995 and nowadays it is still the default format for this software.
