Pascal Language Source Code Format | N/A | Developer Files |
The P file extension indicates a source code file written in the Pascal language. Pascal is a structured, general-purpose programming language, developed in the 1970s by Niklaus Wirth of Zurich University. It can be used to create executable programs for many different platforms. A.P file is composed of Pascal source code, written using text editor, usually containing keywords, variables, strings, constants, operands, and comments, and uses Delphi or Free Pascal syntax. The content of the file can be easily understood by Pascal compilers such as those provided in most programming environments. Once compiled successfuly into a machine readable language,.P files are typically no longer used. Similar Pascal source commands used different filename extensions such as PP, PAS, and INC.
Compiling.P Files
Creating an executable program from a.P source code file requires compiling it to a recognized format such as an object code (machine code) or an assembly code. Users can employ a compiler to do this conversion which involves translation of instruction into machine-readable and machine-executable format. Compiling the file is done via the command line interface or inside some Integrated Development Environment (IDE) such as the Turbo Pascal or Delphi which come with compilers that can convert a Pascal program to an executable application.
Programs for WINDOWS system
Programs for MAC system
After installing the required software, the operating system will usually automatically associate an unknown file type (in this case .P) with the new application. If this does not happen, we can help the system a bit by selecting the software for it, which it should always use to open files with the .P extension.
When choosing the software we can select the system to use this software every time.
Remember!
Using it for the first time it is good to check whether the .P file opened in the application can be read by us and opens in a way that allows us to use it. If everything is in order, select this option the next time you open a file with the .P extension. However, if the file has not opened correctly, we have to look for a different software, with which we can open files with the .P extension. Select a different software from our list and install it on your computer. After the software is installed, repeat inspection openings of a .P file. Sometimes you have to repeat the operation several times.
Other instructions
If none of the programs listed by us to work with the .P file has not meet your expectations, you can try searching other websites. But remember to avoid downloading programs "that can open any file". These applications not only have very limited functionality, but may also expose you to expense tens of dollars when purchasing a license.
In the vast majority of cases you will find the program dedicated to support the .P file, or any other file format. In addition, there is a chance that it will be a free program, and its functionality (concerning the .P file) will be extended to the maximum.
It is also good to check
- if the .P file has no errors
- or if it has been copied (or downloaded by the browser) thoroughly
