NTF stands for Lotus Notes Template, and IBM developed it in order to help users store their documents. In the .NSF file, documents are stored in two parts. One includes the documents, fields, and forms, while the other includes the design elements, including views, folders, Agents, and so on. .NTF files help store these design elements in an efficient and easily accessible format.
.NTF files can be used to create a new Lotus Notes database. When the database is opened, either at design or runtime, these files are opened as well.
