Technical Details of MJP File
MJP files are binary files that follow the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) T.82 and T.84 international standards for JPEG image compression. The ITU standards specify a total of three layers of data compression, which are divided into two stages: intra-frame compression and inter-frame compression. Intra-frame compression is applied to individual frames of a video, while inter-frame compression looks at groups of frames, searching for redundant elements that can be compressed, such as motion vectors and video macroblocks.
The MJPEG compression method allows for both high quality video and relatively small file sizes. This makes MJP files a good choice for streaming large amounts of data over the web, without sacrificing too much video quality. Similar file extensions include .MJPG, .AVI, .MP4, and .MKV.
