MDD is a filename extension for Point Oven Deformation Data Files. MDD files are created by Point Oven, an animation deformation plugin by Exosphase for 3ds Max. The file contains animation curves and deformation information exported from Point Oven. It can store information about morphing, bend/taper effects, animated objects or the position of bones in a skeletal-rigging system.
