FOL (also known as .PFS) is file type created by PFS First Choice, a graphical program used for creating documents and databases. It is the native file format of PFS First Choice and may contain formatted text, images, objects, and various data fields. This file format was popular in the early 1990s before the emergence of personal computers.
A FOL file is composed of records and each one contains different fields such as Name, Address, Phone number, and others. Additionally, these records can also include formatting information and objects which can be used for illustrations, text wrapping, dropcap effects or multiple columns. Each record can be specified with either fixed or variable length and usually has a header which describes the field structure.
