The C2D (WinOnCD Disc Image) file extension is used for disc image files created using Roxio WinOnCD. It includes all the pertinent data from a CD or DVD, such as bootable data, file system, ISO 9660, UDF formats and others. C2D is a compressed file type that takes up 75 percent less disk space than other files of similar size. Roxio WinOnCD, released in the late 1990s, is the first software program to support the C2D file format.
