Delphi Project Group Format | Embarcadero Technologies | Developer Files |
The BPG file extension stands for Borland Project Group and is used by Borland C++ to identify project files. These files contain information about the pieces of a program that needs to be compiled and linked. Items that are held inside a BPG file include library paths, symbol values, linked files, segment definitions and other settings used during the compilation process.
BPG files are used by C++Builder, an integrated development environment that builds applications in the C++ language. Additionally, they are often found inside development suites such as Turbo C++, Delphi and other associated programs. When compiling a program, the BPG file is opened, the settings are verified and it is then used as part of the build process.
Similar File Extensions
This file format shares similarities with other programming related extensions such as .CPR, .CPP, .H, and .DLF. However, none of these files are interchangeable with one another as each extension is associated with a different program or project type.
Programs for WINDOWS system
After installing the required software, the operating system will usually automatically associate an unknown file type (in this case .BPG) with the new application. If this does not happen, we can help the system a bit by selecting the software for it, which it should always use to open files with the .BPG extension.
When choosing the software we can select the system to use this software every time.
Remember!
Using it for the first time it is good to check whether the .BPG file opened in the application can be read by us and opens in a way that allows us to use it. If everything is in order, select this option the next time you open a file with the .BPG extension. However, if the file has not opened correctly, we have to look for a different software, with which we can open files with the .BPG extension. Select a different software from our list and install it on your computer. After the software is installed, repeat inspection openings of a .BPG file. Sometimes you have to repeat the operation several times.
