The ACS .ACS file extension is associated with Agent Character File. It is a file saved by the AOL Instant Messenger software AOL Instant Messenger (AIM) and used to store characters that are used in the game AOL Adventure Quest. The characters created in the game can be stored on the user's computer as ACS files. These files contain information about a character including their name, race, class, level, experience points, statistics and other detailed information.

The Agent Character File is a binary file that stores this information as TICODEs or Tagged Information Codes. These codes are then compiled into a single ACS file.
