What is XPS file?
The .XPS file extension stands for XML Paper Specification - a fixed-layout file format developed by Microsoft. The XPS file format was designed to facilitate the transfer of documents in an electronic form, as a means of providing more privacy and security than the alternative PDF format. XPS files are similar in structure and purpose to PDF files, but because the XPS format is a subset of XML, it is easier to modify documents stored in this format. [ ⏩ ] XPS file extension
What is ONE file?
The ONE file type is a unique file format created by Microsoft for its office productivity suite, Microsoft Office. Specifically, the ONE document files are used for the program Microsoft OneNote, an application of its Office suite applications that is used to create digital notebooks for taking notes or gathering information. The notes are then organized in notebooks which are then compiled to generate the ONE file. [ ⏩ ] ONE file extension

How to convert the file from XPS to ONE?
To successfully convert the XPS file to ONE, you should install one of the applications from the list. After installing the software, open the program and select the file you want to convert (file-name.XPS). The next step is to select the target format from the list, in this case ONE (usually converters allow you to convert to several different formats, so check out their features - maybe one of the available formats will suit you more than ONE).
What is a file conversion?
A data conversion is normally an automated process to some extent. The effect of the operation of one program is automatically the input product of another application. If that does not happen we need to help the process a little bit and convert the file on our own, e.g. XPS to ONE. To obtain a matched structure of the data, it is necessary to use an appropriate converter.
Program for converting XPS files to ONE files is a kind of a "binary code translator" compensating for the differences in the code or translating it in such a way so that another application could use it. For us, as users, the visible change will be only another file extension. (After converting the file, it will be the extension ONE, while before this step we had the XPS file). For the programs, the difference is on a much higher level – either the application will be able to open a new ONE file, or not.
