What is UU file?

UU (Uuencoded File) is a file type used to make binary data more suitable for transport through mail applications and plain text protocols. It was initially created by Mark Horton at the University of California, Berkeley, during the early 1980s as an alternative to the BinHex binary-to-ASCII encoding scheme used in Apple Mac OS. How to convert the file from UU to RAR?

To successfully convert the UU file to RAR, you should install one of the applications from the list. After installing the software, open the program and select the file you want to convert (file-name.UU). The next step is to select the target format from the list, in this case RAR (usually converters allow you to convert to several different formats, so check out their features - maybe one of the available formats will suit you more than RAR).

What is a file conversion?
