What is IAM file?

The .IAM is an Inventor Assembly File type, developed by Autodesk. It's associated with Autodesk Inventor, a?parametric 3D product design program for industrial design purpose, released back in 1999. An IAM file represents an assembly design project, containing the details of all components and parts assembled there as well as related data and graphics like 3D objects. How to convert the file from U3D to IAM?

To successfully convert the U3D file to IAM, you should install one of the applications from the list. After installing the software, open the program and select the file you want to convert (file-name.U3D). The next step is to select the target format from the list, in this case IAM (usually converters allow you to convert to several different formats, so check out their features - maybe one of the available formats will suit you more than IAM).

What is a file conversion?

A data conversion is normally an automated process to some extent. The effect of the operation of one program is automatically the input product of another application.
