What is SLA file?
The SLA (Scribus Document) file extension is a document file type that is used by Scribus, a popular open-source desktop publishing (DTP) application. SLA files are created in the native format for the software, and describe the contents of sophisticated desktop publishing documents. [ ⏩ ] SLA file extension
What is SCD file?
The .SCD File Extension is used by various Intuit TurboTax applications and programs. The SCD (Schedule List) file type is related to tax document data in the .TAX file format. These files are generally created during the tax preparation and filing process, when personal and business tax forms require an individualized Schedule List. This scheduling list contains a set of data which is entered and stored in the SCD file type, which allows users to prepare their taxes in a more effective manner. [ ⏩ ] SCD file extension

How to convert the file from SLA to SCD?
To successfully convert the SLA file to SCD, you should install one of the applications from the list. After installing the software, open the program and select the file you want to convert (file-name.SLA). The next step is to select the target format from the list, in this case SCD (usually converters allow you to convert to several different formats, so check out their features - maybe one of the available formats will suit you more than SCD).
What is a file conversion?
A data conversion is normally an automated process to some extent. The effect of the operation of one program is automatically the input product of another application. If that does not happen we need to help the process a little bit and convert the file on our own, e.g. SLA to SCD. To obtain a matched structure of the data, it is necessary to use an appropriate converter.
Program for converting SLA files to SCD files is a kind of a "binary code translator" compensating for the differences in the code or translating it in such a way so that another application could use it. For us, as users, the visible change will be only another file extension. (After converting the file, it will be the extension SCD, while before this step we had the SLA file). For the programs, the difference is on a much higher level – either the application will be able to open a new SCD file, or not.
