DEM files are data files that are used to store a demo version, or playthrough record, of a video game. This file type is created by some games as an ‘autosave’ feature while playing the game. Some popular computer titles such as Quake III Arena, Age of Empires II, and Doom 3 may use the DEM file type. It also may serve as an auxiliary downloadable file from gaming websites giving players a demonstration of what the game looks and plays like before they purchase it or download it. How to convert the file from SHP to DEM?

To successfully convert the SHP file to DEM, you should install one of the applications from the list. After installing the software, open the program and select the file you want to convert (file-name.SHP). The next step is to select the target format from the list, in this case DEM (usually converters allow you to convert to several different formats, so check out their features - maybe one of the available formats will suit you more than DEM).

What is a file conversion?
