What is MYD file?
MYD (MySQL Database Data File) is the most common file extension for the database files created in the Oracle-owned MySQL software. MYD files are used to store data created in the popular open source relational database management system and typically contain data tables, user preferences, stored procedures, and other components of a given database. MYD files are created each time a new MySQL database is created and should not be manually opened or edited by the user. [ ⏩ ] MYD file extension
What is DBS file?
The .DBS file extension is used to store data files in a structured format created by the SQLBase software developed by Borland. Such database files are used to contain data records stored for a number of different applications. It was initially released in 1988 and has since become one of the most popular database file formats available. [ ⏩ ] DBS file extension

How to convert the file from MYD to DBS?
To successfully convert the MYD file to DBS, you should install one of the applications from the list. After installing the software, open the program and select the file you want to convert (file-name.MYD). The next step is to select the target format from the list, in this case DBS (usually converters allow you to convert to several different formats, so check out their features - maybe one of the available formats will suit you more than DBS).
What is a file conversion?
A data conversion is normally an automated process to some extent. The effect of the operation of one program is automatically the input product of another application. If that does not happen we need to help the process a little bit and convert the file on our own, e.g. MYD to DBS. To obtain a matched structure of the data, it is necessary to use an appropriate converter.
Program for converting MYD files to DBS files is a kind of a "binary code translator" compensating for the differences in the code or translating it in such a way so that another application could use it. For us, as users, the visible change will be only another file extension. (After converting the file, it will be the extension DBS, while before this step we had the MYD file). For the programs, the difference is on a much higher level – either the application will be able to open a new DBS file, or not.
