What is CAF file?
CAF (Core Audio File) is a digital audio file format that was submitted to the IETF (Internet Engineering Task Force) in 2006, and is part of Apple Mac OS and iOS technologies. It is heavily based on older sound file formats, such as AIFF and AES31-1990. CAF files are meant to originate from Apple's Core Audio Framework (as the name implies), but can also be written to support other platforms. [ ⏩ ] CAF file extension
What is FXP file?
The FXP file extension is associated with Visual FoxPro, a database development and management system created by Microsoft. FXP stands for “FoxPro compiled database” and the FXP file stores an application comprised of text, data, and code written in FoxPro programming language. These files can be used for a variety of applications, such as managing financial data for small businesses or creating software applications. [ ⏩ ] FXP file extension
How to convert the file from CAF to FXP?
To successfully convert the CAF file to FXP, you should install one of the applications from the list. After installing the software, open the program and select the file you want to convert (file-name.CAF). The next step is to select the target format from the list, in this case FXP (usually converters allow you to convert to several different formats, so check out their features - maybe one of the available formats will suit you more than FXP).
What is a file conversion?
A data conversion is normally an automated process to some extent. The effect of the operation of one program is automatically the input product of another application. If that does not happen we need to help the process a little bit and convert the file on our own, e.g. CAF to FXP. To obtain a matched structure of the data, it is necessary to use an appropriate converter.
Program for converting CAF files to FXP files is a kind of a "binary code translator" compensating for the differences in the code or translating it in such a way so that another application could use it. For us, as users, the visible change will be only another file extension. (After converting the file, it will be the extension FXP, while before this step we had the CAF file). For the programs, the difference is on a much higher level – either the application will be able to open a new FXP file, or not.
